Merry Christmas 2010

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this." Isaiah 9:6-7. As the Christmas season came and went I could not help but to stand amazed at the true miracle of the Christmas story. How hard would it have been during those times to understand that when the people prayed for God to protect and deliver their people, his response was "Unto you a child is born." Little did they know that the child would save us all from a life of sin. God has blessed my family more than words can express in 2010 and I look forward to 2011!! Jacob and I are so thankful and blessed for friends and family during this holiday season. Our Christmas celebration began with our Highpoint meal...Thankmas!! This was our Thanksgiving and Christmas meal combined this year because we were all so busy! FRIENDSHIP: "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor. If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up." Ecclesiastes 4:9-10. Thank God for wonderful friends!

Thanksgiving

" Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever" Pslam 107:1. I read this verse as the Thanksgiving season approached and thought back over the past several years. God has blessed me and my family beyond belief. My dad continues his battle with cancer, almost 4 years after a prognosis of 4-6 months...GOD'S GRACE! I officially completed PT school and passed my state boards...AMAZING! Jacob and are moving happily along in our 2nd year of marriage...GIFT FROM GOD. I LOVE my job where I am blessed daily by the joyful smiles of children in Memphis...LIFE CHANGING. Jacob works for Apple where he can be a tech nerd all day long and its cool:) GODS DIVINE INTERVENTION. We are home owners...FAITH. And we are members of a gospel teaching, God fearing, diversity driven church...FELLOWSHIP MEMPHIS. Jacob and I traveled to Little Rock for Thanksgiving day with his family and to celebrate Afton Alexa's 1st birthday. We cannot believe it has been an entire year since that little beauty has joined our family! " Children are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from Him" Psalm 127:3. It was a quick but wonderful trip. We left Memphis late Wednesday night after I got off work and returned to Memphis the very next night because we both had to work the weekend...BOO!! Here are some pictures of the princesses 1st birthday and Thanksgiving in the LR!
